Becca Rausch

You have the dial, maybe with the buttons or the knobs, whatever, preset it to 102.9 and it's always ready for you.

Here today with us, Senator Becca Rausch.

Senator, good morning.

How are you doing this fine Wednesday in New England?

She's always strategizing over there.

If I can invite up our State Senator, Becca Rausch.

Thanks, Steve.

Before I say thanks, Steve.

I'll talk a little bit about some earmarks that I worked on, and I know that Senator Rausch worked on some earmarks, so I will not steal her thunder on those, but we got $150,000 for the Franklin Middle School for its library renovation, $100,000 for the Franklin Performing Arts Company, $100,000 for the Safe Coalition, and I'm anxious to hear Jennifer Knight come up and talk about that.

Another $50,000 for the Franklin Food Pantry, $25,000 for the Franklin Downtown Partnership, and $25,000 for the Franklin Creative Center for the Arts, which is on Main Street.

We did put in one of my initiatives is the Genocide Education Act, and we put $3 million into that fund.

We had a bike safety day last Saturday where we gave out 54 helmets for free and offered a safety course.

The success of that event looks like we're going to try to make that an annual event.

We did spend a lot of time working in conjunction with Senator Rausch and Town Administrator Helen for some exit 41 improvements in light of that tragic incident that occurred.

In June, we worked with the family, and it was great to have a combined set of efforts and get MassDOT out to address some immediate concerns.
