Becca Caffyn

This is Almost Radio, a project highlighting indie releases from New Zealand and Australian artists.

And today, our interview is with our very good friend Becca Caffyn.

I first came across Becca when she started as a volunteer at Radio 1 91FM in Dunedin, and it wasn't until a few months later that she let slip that she was an artist.

Her single Stair Kids quickly topped the Radio 1 Top 11 chart, and she later won a Student Radio Network award for the title track of the Hallways EP.

Becca's blend of introspective bedroom folk and indie sensibilities is seemingly effortless, and she has time after time released in-your-feels introspective tracks.

Today we'll be talking about her latest single, Caroline, as well as what she's been up to since moving to the UK, foggy old London town.

We also take a deep dive into the history of the name behind her touring band, Becca Caffyn and the Pisshorns.

Thank you Becca for the interview and go give her track Caroline a listen.
