Bebeto

from strikers.

Players who are expecting a baby, right? Bebeto famously for Brazil, like they're swaying the ball like it's a baby.

But yeah, I've never seen it.

Was he doing that to waste time then? because they were 3-1

Tristan is the backup.

And of course, Bebeto was there, and I want to mention Bebeto, because what a player.

But I prefer Roy Makai in, for the team I've built.

Uh, Albert Luque also deserving of a mention.

Coruña.Yeah, five goals and two assists in the first five games for Deportivo.

By scoring those goals, he beat legend Bebeto run in, uh-

Wow

...

Yeah, did you win gold?

Oh, no, we lost the semifinals, uh, unfortunately in penalty shootout against Brazil, against Ronaldo and Bebeto.

Oh.

And, uh, won in the, the third place game, so we won bronze basically against Italy then.

We should have.

Oh, I thought...

Bebeto, Bebeto, he must've been one of the young players then

then'Cause he, he played in that-

This will blow your mind.

Do you remember Bebeto's celebration in World Cup '94?

Yeah.

The rocking of the baby.

So for MattD1234, he said, "If Chris Brady couldn't start over Matt Freese, why is he there?" Well, that just means in his development, he wasn't ready.

I mean, a, a, a great example of that is in 1994, Ronaldo, our nine, Nazario, was on the bench b- and didn't play a minute, and he was behind Bebeto and Romario.

Now, if they started that cycle in 1995, and s- and '96 and said, "Why are they calling up Ronaldo? He couldn't play over those guys."

[laughs]

I know I digress slightly, but there's a, uh, I think I've mentioned this before, there's a, a, a s- I think, is it a series or a f- I think it's a film on Netflix about Brazil's 1994 World Cup winning side, and then they speak to all the, uh, the, the ex-players and of that, of that squad.

And, uh, Romario, um, is, is in there, as is Bebeto.

The pair of them had a, a right good partnership in that tournament.

Uh, William says Kempes was unreal, yeah, for Valencia.
