There's been a plane crash on Beaver Island and my husband's on Beaver Island.

They were flying over today.

I have to go.

And I'm like, oh my God, Beaver Island.

My friends live there.

Kitty McNamara, the executive director of the Beaver Island Irish Heritage Group, introduces the program.

Welcome here this afternoon.

Eventually, there was a real Strangite church.

They gathered first in Wisconsin and later on Beaver Island in Lake Michigan.

Strang produced new scripture.

I mean, had it revealed to him.

He's a conductor, and also he plays as a violinist.

And back this week, he just went up to Beaver Island in northern Michigan.

He's conducting a couple of concerts in the Beaver Island Music Festival.

or Geohistory Channel, and one of the people that live in the boonies is this guy named Dan Burton from Beaver Island.

I knew him personally, and I knew how he lived, and I knew everything, and I was like, you guys are spicing it up a little bit for the show, right? He's talking about how he is pretty self-reliant.

They are kind of a homesteady type people, but there's still a town like 10 minutes away.

Yeah.

And then, like, there was one time that he went to, like, Hog Island or something.

And it's pretty close to Beaver Island.

And his boat went down or his dog ran away or something on the island.

We had an amazing summer.

The highlight for me being our week on the island, Beaver Island is where my brain goes quietest and where I feel like my best version of myself, like without question.

There and at a small cafe in Europe.

So I tend to get to Europe more than I do Beaver Island.

Trying to change that.

But my favorite week of the summer was our week on Beaver Island together.

And then we had a really northern Michigan filled summer.

Like we swam a lot.

The landmark.

And dude, we should go to the fucking lighthouse on Beaver Island is haunted.

And I know somewhere we can stay there.

Perfect.

A lot of Beaver Island's haunted.

That's what I mean.

We have a big list.

And I'll just, I'll keep it, uh, keep it rolling here, and we can probably close it out soon.

But Beaver Island is another one.

Um, this is in Lake Michigan.

That's why I'm happy-

... because you, we just talked about, pulled that up, right?

Yeah.

Um, I got a tip from somebody on my show that there was rumored to be a pyramid on Beaver Island in Lake Michigan.

So I looked around, I looked online for it, and I think I found it.
