... and Beaujolais bec- as we come up on Beaujolais Nouveau day, another really beautiful poppy red wine.

But Valpolicella holds a special place in my heart.

I've been there.

It is a Mourvedre made in the style of Beaujolais Nouveau.

Oh, so it's using carbonic maceration.

So Mourvedre that's put into a tank by hand, me literally putting 2000 pounds of grapes into a tank, heating the tank with CO2 to get rid of the oxygen, closing it up and walking away for three weeks.

We're waiting to see about the French wine harvest, how that's going.

And obviously the first wine harvest will be Beaujolais Nouveau.

So, moving on.

As previously mentioned, the future of Paris' Tour de Montparnasse, it hangs in the balance as the co-owners feud.

Carmela, you may think of Beaujolais as Beaujolais Nouveau, but did you know there's more to Beaujolais than that?

Here's the thing.

There is Cru Beaujolais, and it is a good deal if you can find it.

Not as expensive as you would expect a Cru wine to be, but don't think of it as Beaujolais Nouveau.

It is a different, more serious, more sophisticated wine, and we're going to tell you all about it.
