Beaufort Street

And what does the week look like? Well, obviously a bit of parenting stuff in there.

My husband Josh, um, is the lead elder of King's Cross Church, which w- we meet on Highgate's, uh, in Highgate on Beaufort Street.

And Mel O'Neil recognized us and came over and said, "Oh, would one of you boys like to, like to score for us?" And the other guy said, "Well, I, I can't stay all day." Um, so I said, "Oh, well, if I can get a lift home, I'll, I'll score." And he said, "Oh, we'll get you home," 'cause we all got to go back that way.

And Beaufort Street was the, was the main drag in those days, and so my bike was left at Bea- Beaufort Park at the top of our street.

You know, I started at the start of the '62, '63 season, and I was getting a fair few wickets in under 16s.

And Mel came up to me after four matches and said, "Well, we'd like you to play, start playing senior cricket in the afternoon.
