One would be not scripture, but scripted, scripted.

So think here a historic confession of sin, uh maybe something from the church fathers which have are a great resource for us to pull from in my mind is johnny gibson's uh whole line of books now but began with be thou my vision where he has collected in that all of those historic confession of sins that are scripted they were written in the past but then are a treasure chest for us to use today For us, we've also used the Valley of Vision.

Hmm.

I think the answer to that question is summed up in the old hymn, Be Thou My Vision.

The first few lines go, Be thou my vision, O Lord of my heart, not be all else to me save that thou art.

And the Lord has had me on a long journey of learning what it means to keep my eyes on Him.

It's a constant journey of learning what that means and what that looks like.

I could no longer do anything else.

And I was forced to reconcile myself the identity that I had created inside of myself, that I am one who does good and creative things for God, that he uses in these kinds of ways.

When you can't do anything else and you're in bed and you're faced with the reality that like, what if you never do anything else? What is your identity? Like, are you still a child of God? Do you still have an identity? Or is your identity wrapped around the things you can do or the skills or the talents or how you can perform and produce for the Lord? And that's where the song Be Thou My Vision became so real to me when I'm in bed and not able to even parent.
