The text editor was a similar story.

I wanted a text editor that had a lot of the specific features of BBEdit and a couple other text editors I like.

Plus... i'm looking at doing some some ui automation tool uh integration kind of more similar to apple script and so i wanted to add that into all the applications i was building so i had uh i had the uh the bots to develop it from some scratch again no coding from me in any of this it's all c and c plus plus and it bangs it all out and uh it goes through a number of iterations I have the testing bot create hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of comprehensive test cases, run them as test passes, submit the bug reports back to the developers, the developers fix it for me, and spit me out another ISO.

In effect, I've been rapidly demoted to CEO.

And I'm not talking like text editor command line war type stuff like Emacs versus Vim.

I'm looking at graphical GUI text editors, things like BBEdit.

notepad right looking at all the very classic text plain text editors from over the years simple stuff right things that are fast and lightweight but but with features that people have loved for example i love having a plain text editor but i also like having line numbers optional line number display down the side of my text editor view so i have that as an optional thing where it actually shows you the line numbers down the left side and let you get it Likewise, I like having a powerful find and replace UI.

One of my favorites for that is from a text editor known as BB Edit, which was a classic Macintosh text editor from the from the 90s.
