BBC New Comedy Award

Um, and then there were competitions.

There were like four or five national competitions and London-based competitions for new comedians, and I entered them, and some of them went really well, including the BBC New Comedy Award, which had, which had just come back in 2011.

So I was a year in entering this award, and I was in the final.

I ended up in the final with like Joe Lycett, Angela Barnes, and a few other people who'd been going a lot longer at that point than I had.

After completing military service in 2019, Lee began performing open mics in Singapore before moving to Scotland.

After graduating in 23, he moved to London, where he continued to develop his act and reach the finals of the BBC New Comedy Awards.

Then he did Fringe, nominated for Best Newcomer.

And they had two quick questions with Jin Hal.

And you've written episodes of fantastic series like We Might Regret This, The Outlaws, Stand Up.

You've been nominated twice, not once but twice, for the BBC New Comedy Awards.

And you've recently written and directed a short film that apparently is called Greta Gerwig.

Is she in it?
