Baylor School

Baylor School

Located five minutes from Chattanooga's vibrant downtown, Baylor is a coed, college preparatory, day/boarding school for students in grades 6-12. Founded in 1893, we are known for our high academic standards, championship athletics, a robust fine arts curriculum and program, leadership skills development, and a 690-acre campus that provides endless experiential opportunities. Our athletic teams have won more than 100 state championships in the last decade, and our swimming, softball, and soccer teams are nationally ranked. Our choir, community service program, and outdoor Walkabout program have also been nationally recognized. Throughout the school's history our alumni have enrolled in colleges and universities worldwide and distinguished themselves in their chosen careers. Our faculty have earned Fulbright Scholarships and the Presidential Award for Excellence, and more than 75 percent hold advanced degrees. Their professional growth is nurtured and supported by generous donors through endowed travel grants. An additional stipend is provided for individuals selected as a recipient of the endowed Ireland Chair for Distinguished Teaching.www.baylorschool.org
