Battlefords North Stars

It's going to be a big one there.

Kindersley is going to host the Battlefords North Stars in a nutrient division clash.

And then on Saturday, a super Saturday.

It's going to be super.

Yorkton got a 6-3 win on Friday, though.

Battlefords got a win, folks! They had a nine-game losing streak heading into this one against Weyburn, but they got off the schneid.

So imagining that locker room felt pretty good after that one.

The Flin Flon Bombers were in Kindersley for a two-game set.

On Saturday, Larange, as I mentioned, they were on the road to Warman, and Warman got a 7-2 win.

That was like a 2.30 afternoon start.

The Wave and Red Wings got a little bit of revenge on Battlefords with a 4-2 win.

Esteban got a 5-3 win, so they split the weekend with Yorkton, and then Flin Flon swept the weekend.

We saw that a couple years ago.

And, I mean, I shouldn't say this too strongly, but remember there were some nights with that Battlefords North Stars super team, like, four years ago where it's like, yeah, they scored eight goals, but it was 8-5.

And then you wonder, like, okay, is this sustainable when the games get tough? And this was a tougher game for them.

And Humboldt played really well as well.

Yeah, absolutely, for sure.

Yeah, okay, let's move on to Wednesday's game.

Excuse me, the Melfort Mustangs with a 4-0 win over the Battlefords North Stars in this one.

Battlefords, man, it's hit a nine-game losing streak now.

It went pretty viral.

Melville Mainers and the Battlefords North Stars were in a goaltender battle.

A 1-0 win for Melville.

The Nipwin Hawks, not so much a goaltender battle.

That'll end off the show.

And in the middle of it all, near the end, we're going to be joined a little bit later on today by former Battlefords North Stars coach, Star player, frankly, really great defenseman a few years back on those super teams Battlefords had for a few years there.

Tynan Ewart, who just turned pro.

He got his first pro contract out of college.

Yes, they've played one fewer game, but still, they are last in goals four right now.

And that is not something I anticipated to say about the Battlefords North Stars 10 games into the season.

I definitely thought they would be near the top in that category and maybe higher up in the standings.

And I think the biggest, maybe if we're talking about concern, I know you guys touched on Estevan.

That's probably where Benny will be.

Melfort Mustangs are at the Battleford North Stars.

Estevan Bruins are gone north to Flin Flon.

Warman Wolverines, who finished f- were number one in our, uh, SJHL power rankings, are in Kindersley, who is last.
