The concept carries.

You know, something about death games just in general I feel make them more translatable to a live action adaptation, because, uh, Battle Royale is also a pretty good movie.

yes uh i mean it's kind of the same as usual right where you have um the top guys condensing and then you'll get guys like kyler murray who's like virtually undrafted yeah you know shuck so yeah you can have a lot of fun um just with the nature of the contest where only six guys get drafted so like of that mid-tier um you know guys like kyler lawrence goff where do you gravitate

Because if there's some other trendy game that pops up or a trendy genre, everyone would try and run in that direction.

It's happened so many times with Battle Royale was the biggest one.

Auto Chess after that, which had a moment and then they all started drying up.

MOBAs, everyone just runs for the thing that's currently making money.

they were building things that they found fun.

Like they wasn't necessarily like a lot of game development nowadays you see is kind of like a checklist, like, oh, Battle Royale, this type of IP on these platforms, this market, and they'll kind of just get it approved before even trying it or at least seeing if it's fun.

But if like the internal team building it finds it fun, then you can move ahead with like the focus groups and seeing like, all right, like to what extent can we perhaps monetize it? Like what fits within the theme? That all sounds really cool.

I'm curious to ask, how do you approach your market? How do you know what type of players are going to be interested in what type of game? Is this kind of like you throw it out there and then we'll get into the algorithm that you mentioned.

Um, I was just gonna say quick, Andrew, how swaps work on battle royales.

One, I will just say this, uh, uh, we have the entire, uh, in the Underdog Masterclass, the swaps part is completely free.

And secondly, look, this is going to be a problem for all my ranking videos coming up, especially the ones with the Chapter 5 weapons, is those weapons are all or mostly came back to reload as hitscan versions.

So what, like in every video I rank a Chapter 5 weapon, am I supposed to rank the projectile version and rank the hitscan version? Like, I don't know, that doesn't feel fair, especially since my lists are almost always, like 99% of the time, focused on Battle Royale.

So we're gonna focus on the version of this weapon that was found in Battle Royale, and that was the modular version.

And I think this pistol is pretty good.

Tough season it was in, right? I say it all the time, but Chapter 5 Season 4 was not a good season to be a Monarch pistol in.
