Battle of Bramall Lane

But today we're looking at some of the most epic battles, clashes and confrontations in football history.

To get everything you know about the Battle of Hastings, if that's anything, you're about to learn about the Battle of Bramall Lane, when a broken eye socket led to one of the most controversial and epic games of all time.

Forget IFAB, XG, and whatever ProRef is, and sit back and listen to tales of when football was, quite frankly, crazy.

When football was, to coin Barry Frey, great going forward, poxy at the back, mate.

And this is probably one of the most famous games of all time.

Now, I'm not going to spoil the gold as to what happened, but if I said one of my favourite games ever, you might not be thinking I'm about to show you and discuss with you Sheffield United against West Brom from the 16th of March 2002.

The I mean, this game is known as the Battle of Bramall Lane.

So it was funnily enough, obviously, at Bramall Lane.
