Right, and now, a few years later, how do you see, do you still see the Adam West Batman the same, or have you changed your mind about it?
M

I think now, today, because we have the dark and serious Batman movies and Arkham Asylum games and the brilliant animated Batman series with animated movies like Batman Mask of the Phantasm and the new, very adult Batman Year One cartoon, that it's important to have aspects of Batman that will continue to bring in and introduce young kids to Batman.
M
16:38Michael UslanGUEST
And I think there are several things that help do that.
M

Originally, all we had was Batman meets Scooby-Doo cartoons.

But here's some good stuff for people who maybe like particularly the well-known superheroes and would like to see some of the seminal comics that I think help really capture who they are.
B
47:22BJ BoydSOUNDBITE_SPEAKER
For Batman, I would recommend Batman Year One by John Byrne and then followed by The Man Who Laughs.
B

I'm blanking on who wrote that.

We're not to the consistency and continuity stuff.
J
4:24James HollowayHOST
We're not to the grim crime fighter of Batman: Year One and the yuppie Superman of the Man of Steel with, like, the long form soap opera of the New Mutants.
J
4:33James HollowayHOST

J

This is a transitional period from the Silver Age to the Modern Age, and it's often called the Bronze Age.
