Batman: The Killing Joke

That was a real acting challenge for me, and I was really proud of what I came up with.

I also was really proud at the end of Killing Joke and at the end of Arkham Knight where the laughter has to just build and build and build, and it's just like this madness takes over him.

And it's almost like he takes on part of the Joker.

The original Nightfall saga was enormous.

It ran across multiple Batman titles and while Batman has been you know punched, stabbed, shot at, blown up, thrown off buildings and um maimed for almost 100 years at this point there isn't another batman story that i think takes as much pleasure in simply wearing the poor bastard down it's a story that's so expansive that there was no way to fit this into just one movie so this is part of a trilogy and while it's not a panel by panel adaptation it understands what people loved about the comic There have been some great animated adaptations, and if you liked some of DC's other good ones, like Batman Year One, Under the Red Hood, The Killing Joke, or The Death of Superman, this shows how good DC animation can be when they take their classic stories seriously.

If you like super violent animation, this truly earns its R rating.

Bones are broken, people are stabbed, people are shot, blood is spraying all over the place.

What an amazing movie, man.

It's just interesting because the line ended unceremoniously without, you know, with a whimper.

Not that Watchmen was ever bad, it's just they just sort of ended the line with no fanfare.
