Ryan LowerHOST

Well, this month I still only read Batman and Detective, but the books that had bad seeds, part of it in order real quick.
Ryan LowerHOST
7:09
Batman number 14, Batgirl 24, Streets of Gotham number one, Gotham Central number two, Nightwing 143, Detective Comics 1114, Catwoman 92, Batwoman number eight, Poison Ivy 49, Gotham General number one.
Ryan LowerHOST
7:23
There's a Harley Quinn issue as well.
Ryan LowerHOST
7:25
Did I do that down? I read it.
Peter R. VerraGUEST
7:58
I thought it was just an awesome Ivy event.
Peter R. VerraGUEST
8:02
It wasn't earth shattering or groundbreaking, but it was fun and enjoyable.
Peter R. VerraGUEST
8:06
At times it felt... like a mixture of no man's land and Gotham central between like, you know, especially with the hospital issues and stuff and like the street, you know, the streets of Gotham, like those are great.
Peter R. VerraGUEST
8:17
I enjoyed those a hell of a lot, but overall it was fun to see Batman just kind of, figure out a way to, you know, just kind of save the day.
TiffanyHOST
55:27
let's do um let's do bad seed
SalHOST
55:29
streets of gotham
TiffanyHOST
55:31
the book you said you were definitely gonna
SalHOST
55:32
read yeah that's the one the one that i didn't read at all didn't read at
TiffanyHOST
56:15
You are.
TiffanyHOST
56:16
You are.
TiffanyHOST
56:17
Yeah, as Sal exits the room, I read Batman Bad Seed Streets of Gotham, not really knowing what I was going to get out of it.
TiffanyHOST
56:26
But what I did get out of it was six different short stories, either written by Matt Fraction or written by Mariko Tamaki.
JimHOST
2:19
And then Batman Bad Seed.
JimHOST
2:21
Streets of Gotham number one.
JimHOST
2:23
A book with two colons in it.
JimHOST
2:26
And it smelled like it.
JimHOST
3:01
But we're going to go to what we like to call right now the Badass Roll Call.
JimHOST
3:07
And this is the shout out to the badass levels of the Patreon.
JimHOST
3:12
Those fine ladies and gentlemen who let me and Triple V talk about Barbara Gordon breakout number six and me and Jack talk about Batman colon bad seats colon streets of Gotham number one.
JimHOST
3:25
What a bunch of nonsense.
JaceHOST
25:17
So I think it will be there.
JaceHOST
25:20
Now, this one, Batman Bad Seed Streets of Gotham, number one, this is an anthology one that's much less important to the overall story than Gotham Central.
JaceHOST
25:27
But I think Streets of Gotham has a better chance to make it because it says number one on the cover, even though it's just an anthology.
JaceHOST
25:35
It's just a one shot.
JaceHOST
25:37
But I expect it to be there as well.
Conor KilpatrickHOST
14:31
Batman Gotham Central No. 2 from Christopher Cantwell, Jacob Filth, and Becca Kerr.
Conor KilpatrickHOST
14:36
And Batman Bad Seeds Streets of Gotham No. 1, which featured six stories written by Mariko Tamaki and Matt Fraction.
Josh FlanaganHOST
14:41
They each wrote three, I think.
Josh FlanaganHOST
14:43
Yeah.
Josh FlanaganHOST
14:50
It's funny because I read them both.
Josh FlanaganHOST
14:51
I read Gotham Central because I had missed the first issue and I just thought, all right, let's read this.
Josh FlanaganHOST
14:56
And what's funny is that, so I read it because what, and then I started reading the other one, like Streets of Gotham.
Josh FlanaganHOST
15:02
I didn't know what it was.
PeterHOST
0:16
We get together to talk about the books we read this week.
PeterHOST
0:18
Coming up on today's show, we have Batman Bad Seeds Gotham Central issue 2, Batman Bad Seeds Streets of Gotham issue 1, Supergirl 18, Barbara Gordon Breakout issue 6, Green Lantern Corps issue 21, Legion of Superheroes issue 2.
PeterHOST
0:34
Batman and Robin Year One Dynamic Duos issue 3, The Doom Patrol issue 2, Wonder Woman 2026 Annual The Matriarch Special, Clayface Celebrity Dirt issue 4, The Nice House by the Sea issue 12. hefty week also worth mentioning we could have done even more this week because a couple of the books from next week came out early digitally for some reason this week so we just left them for next week when they're supposed to be coming out but yes so hefty week of books to go through this week and yeah we've got a teensy little bit of follow up news from New York Comic Con nothing too huge but a couple of little things to mention and uh that that'll about do it but uh before we get to any of that matt how was your week
MattHOST
1:24
uh pretty pretty good um i think what we all did i once saw turnstile which is a band on thursday i'm still paying for that because i didn't get home till way late and i woke up my regular time which is uh 4 30 a.m to go to work so uh friday was a struggle um And then I started Crystal Lake last night.

6 MINS LATER

PeterHOST
7:59
Number eight, the third DC book, and this is pleasantly surprising, is Doom Patrol.
PeterHOST
8:05
Cool.
PeterHOST
8:06
I'm not going to complain but I'm a little surprised number 9 is Power Rangers Unlimited and then number 10 is Barbara Gordon Breakout so 4 DC books in the top 10 bit of a stiffer competition this week I guess but like you said no main bat book no absolute books just outside the top 10 both Bad Seed sorry Bad Seed's got them sorry If I can speak properly, Streets of Gotham is number 11, Batman and Robin Dynamic Duos is 12, and then we have Gotham Central down at 16, Supergirl at 18, Green Lantern Corps at 19, and Nice House by the Sea at 22.
PeterHOST
8:45
So, fairly spread out there in the teens, outside of the ones that made the top 10.
TonyHOST
48:32
Yeah.
TonyHOST
48:33
But we had Streets of Gotham and Gotham Central.
TonyHOST
48:39
I don't know how good they are, but we can see what the reviews are.
TonyHOST
48:46
Gotham Central, number two, Batman, Bad Seeds, Gotham Central is an 8.8. Batman, Bad Seeds, Streets of Gotham is an 8.0. And I'm just so over this crossover, whatever.
TonyHOST
49:01
I just don't care.
TonyHOST
49:05
But I feel like I'm going to regret not reading.
MikeHOST
74:32
Mm.
BrianHOST
74:32
You know? Uh, then the last part for Bad Seeds was Streets of Gotham, which was six short stories, uh, that really just have to do with the people in Gotham.
BrianHOST
74:45
The Signal shows up in three of them.
MikeHOST
74:48
Oh, boy.
Nick FriarHOST
24:59
100 Bullets, The U.S. of Anger, Issue 4.
Nick FriarHOST
25:02
Batman, Bad Seeds, Streets of Gotham, issue one, and Clayface, special edition, issue one.
Nick FriarHOST
25:10
And then a book that, honest to God, I've been dying for this second issue.
Nick FriarHOST
25:14
I really, really enjoyed the first one.
JohnHOST
11:40
Uh, but I'm looking forward to reading issue two of Teen Titans and of Doom Patrol.
JohnHOST
11:45
Um, I'll also mention that if you're following the Batman: Bad Seeds, uh, we've got two more entries into that, uh, storyline, Gotham Central number 2 and Streets of Gotham number 1.
JohnHOST
11:56
So these are both titles that are just... only exist because of the crossover.
JohnHOST
12:02
They're not-
