Bassendean

I didn't mention the other properties.

So I bought, I bought the other property in July, a few months after the one in Heathridge in a suburb called Bassendean.

And that one, the median price is a tick over a million dollars now.

And I bought a property that was under market.

So that made a lot of sense to me.

While I spend $100 million on a new venue to get $20,000 in it at Leaderville or at Bassenden or wherever you want to put it, just cop your loss, have it at the home of WA football and move on year by year.

Okay, and it looks like Mark Stone's on his way out at Perth.

Those are the reports of the day, something we probably expected to happen in this off-season.

How early, how early can they serve beers down there at Bassendean?

Yeah.

Uh, they'll be on it early.

We did...

So we got on the train from Bassendean, and then we could have just trained it into the city, jumped off and caught the, um, rail line to Optus, but-

Mm-hmm

... you know.

[laughs] Oh no.

That's in the Perth metropolitan area and that, and specifically it's the Bassendean gray sands-

... that, you know, you have patches of them down right through the, the metropolitan area.

Yes, the Northern Corridor Radio Group's 2026 Hamfest is on next weekend, 9:00 AM on Sunday, August 30th.

It's at the Cyril Jackson Community Hall, Fisher Street in Bassendean, near the Ashfield railway station.

As usual, there'll be heaps of good stuff, all the secondhand tables, plus radio club displays and vendors such as Comtech Radio, Ted Emtron, Horizon Antennas and more.

Doors are open from 9:00 AM with entry donation this year of $7.

Well, the Remembrance Day contest has been and gone, and from what I'm hearing from around the country, the conditions on HF were not good, and certainly at my location, the bands were so noisy I couldn't spend more than a couple of hours at a time, and sometimes less, because I couldn't find enough stations to work.
