Basingstoke Bison

Record-breaking goalscorer Cam Huff has left the club after two prolific seasons and moved up into the Elite League competition with Fife Flyers.

After their trip to Swindon, Phantoms host Basingstoke Bison at Planet Ice on Sunday, September 20th.

The city side have back-to-back pre-season challenge matches against local rivals MK Lightning on the weekend of September 12th, away match, and 13th at home.

And now we do head to league action on the Saturday in the Wilkerson division.

The Bison, as we said, not announced any players or anything because they wanted to do all the internal stuff first, but they got a roster together.

They got iced and they went to play the Spitfires, which featured quite a few familiar names.

especially, especially not against Bayes, Stoke, Bison too, who have just formed a team.

Yeah.

We will just briefly mention the players that the forwards that have also moved on as well.

So number two, Adam Rossbottom has moved back down south and is at the Basingstoke Bison.

I think that'll be a good move for him to refine his scoring mentality.

Callum Field, probably one of the more notable departures from Lightning, gets an opportunity with Telford Tigers.

And Andy Heath, he makes the journey to Sheffield Scimitars.

And Mac Howlett as well.

He is now a Basingstoke Bison.

So that's a huge, huge acquisition for them.

And today I am so excited to have on, again, a 40-year-old from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and Cardiff, Wales, the old honey hole.

Came up as a puppy with the Basingstoke Bison, ran amok with the Cardiff Satans, Dragons, and Devils of the ENL, earning his way to the Cardiff Devils.

Mucked it up with our Devils for f- seven seasons, becoming a Challenge Cup champion with yours truly in 2015, then wonner again in 2017, and won the league that season and the next, as well as the playoff title, and won the playoffs again the next year when he transitioned to being one of the coaches.

He hung up his wheels and his whistle to cure cancer full time, and he can currently be found shredding lakes all over Switzerland.
