Basilica of the Holy Blood

These buildings were built over centuries and reflect the building style of their age.

There's also the Basilica of the Holy Blood, and then there's the Liberty of Bruges, and then there's the Deanery and very grand buildings.

Then I found a statue and it was a statue on the side of the town hall and it was of Baldwin I, my ancestor.

I didn't expect to learn so much about him on my trips to Bruges and to Ghent, let alone see the square where he lived and his statue.
