Well, I just think they're maybe kind of playing... 'Cause even the Jurassic Park box, it said, like, "What could go wrong?" Which was funny, but then it had, like, almost older tech on it where it looked almost like Tron style thing.

So it's like if these movies were made at a different time in technology because, obviously, Jurassic Park is kind of known for one of those movies that still holds up today in terms of when it was made back in, like, '94, '95.

This is what America was watching at the movies in April of 1992, the month that The Player was released in theaters.

Okay, so in the DVD commentary, Paul Verhoeven said that for the love scene after Quaid wakes from his nightmare, he wanted Sharon Stone to show more skin, but she refused to do so.

And so he settled for shooting the scene as it's shown, but mentions that he got her back, quote unquote, got her back while shooting Basic Instinct.

Yeah.

Now, we all remember Sharon Stone from Basic Instinct and became this big sex figure, but she says when it comes to her normal sexual exploits, she's now just looking for a companion, not just someone to have sex with.

Her quote is, I'm kind of bored with that.

I'm in the no luck at all phase right now.

and whatever.

She dated Shep Gordon, Alice Cooper's manager, during her popularity's prime.

I recently re-watched a good portion of Basic Instinct.

Oh, yeah? I've never seen Basic Instinct.

This was the second single from her second album.

And the music video for the song was inspired by the movie Basic Instinct.

It actually is Beyonce's highest debuting single on the Hot 100 singles chart, at least at that time.

It opened at number 12, peaked at number 11.

Very underrated movie because it came right after Fight Club.

um the game um that's fincher doing the very expensive hollywood version of uh what the fuck is real um it still wants to entertain mainstream audiences just like vanilla sky does uh but david fincher has like real tonal control um to pull the audience through it um And when you were saying nobody else could do what Tom Cruise did in this movie, the only apt comparison I could think of is if that movie was, if Vanilla Sky was made in 1990, what's his name? Human Cocaine Booger from Basic Instinct.

Michael Douglas.
