Basic Channel

And honestly, if any listeners have any ideas of like... bands that kind of sound like that, because I was sort of searching around this week.

I was like, you know, I was thinking about like a little Basic Channel or a little like Maurizio, the Basic Channel side project, but it's, I don't know, those are like a little dreamier, a little hazier, and this is just kind of, I don't know, it's like the, something about like the FM slap bass sound kind of grooving over a 4-4 minimal beat.

I don't know, if anybody has any recommendations, I just can't get enough of it.

Anyway, besides those two tracks, I almost never think about this, and I sort of felt this week like...

So one of these like rare Autechre tracks where people are reminded of a different artist, you know, that really is not that usual.

But I was kind of thinking of, you know, like our conversation about, you know, the Frolau track off LSEC 5, which really sounded like Basic Channel or something.

We were like, well, is it not enough Autechre and too much like a copy of, you know, another artist? A lot of people seem to think this just doesn't sound like authentically Autechre.
