Bartlesville.

I tell you what, we're just days away from Oktoberfest in downtown Bartlesville, and wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, is it going to be a good

one.

It is going to be so much fun.

It is this Saturday, October 3rd from four to nine downtown Bartlesville.

So if you know where RSU is, the Aurora building, which is where we're located, is right next door between fourth and fifth on Dewey Street.

Kids 18 and under are free, and adults are $10.

I know they're going to have pumpkin and lemon and I think the red velvet cake and so many more.

But anyways, the railroaders are placing their crossing on Hensley Boulevard and that is starting today.

Just as a couple of points of order, we obviously have a lot of boards, committees that operate within the city of Bartlesville.

We have 26 of these citizen-led committees that really act as an advisory to council on a whole host of activities from parks, streets, water, and uh development as well as wastewater i know people have uh you know they want to talk about wastewater and there's a committee available for them to do so right now we have openings on the history museum trust authority the library trust authority as well as the white rose cemetery but we encourage anybody who's interested in getting involved with city government and the citizen committees to look on the city's website under the board committee and commission openings There's 26 of them, and so if you look through those and you have a passion for one of those that may not have an opening, you can still put in your application.

We hold those applications for two years, so if there's an opening that comes up within that two-year threshold and you put an application for it, then you will be considered for that committee.

They both obviously grew up in this area.

That's why there's a connection here with Boots Hollow.

So it's a nice week to represent the city and the golf course and represent, you know, raise some money for a great cause for the United Way.

We're super thankful for our donors.

We're super thankful for the community of Bartlesville.

We're thankful that God has provided all the things that we have that we're able to open up our campus every year.

But it's our on October 10th.

Harvest Festival and dinner.

And while the tables are done by sponsorship, we do have free spots available for people from the community.

So if there's anyone who's listening who would be interested in coming to this event, they do not need to pay because we want everyone in Bartlesville to know more about The Rock.

So you get code enforcement, keep Bartlesville beautiful, demolitions.

And so walk us through some of the activities on these

Well, you're all aglow.

So what's happening? What do we have coming up? What we have coming up is Love in Action on October the 10th between 1 and 3 at the Unity Square in Bartlesville.

We're going to have music.

We're going to have food.

So this is a little bit like March for Jesus.

The churches, we're trying to get the churches to come together so that they can tell what they have, the programs that they have.

And so everyone knows what is available in Bartlesville.

And it's really about fellowshipping with other Christians, which is really good for us, you know, to just share the love.

I can still remember the first time I heard it.

We were on our way to Bartlesville with my parents.

I

thought we were going to the wedding when we heard it.

I think so.

Okay, we were all on our way to a wedding in Kansas City.

No, it was when we were going to Bartlesville.

That's what I thought.
