You have to be the one that empowers the play or gives permission for the play.

You know, when you look at organisations like Google or Pixar, where they have this idea of 20% time or university time, where people can go and study a personal interest or passion, that's about the trust that if those people are constantly firing their imaginations and trying new stuff that actually it's an it's a worthwhile if it's not some soft soapy thing these are high-powered organizations where every dollar of profit matters right but what they realize is the more they let their people go off and breathe fresh air the more chance they've got of coming back with a new idea i before we started recording i was telling you and i think it's really pertinent Because I was very lucky a few years ago to interview a guy called Barry Barish.

Now, for most people, they'll be going, Barry who? Barry Barish was the 2017 Nobel Prize winner for physics.

And when I interviewed him, by the way, it's nothing more terrifying.

Can you imagine interviewing a Nobel Prize winner thinking, God, I hope this woman, this man doesn't think I'm completely bloody stupid.
