Barrett M99

It did nothing to suppress sound.

And on a 5.56, why bother having it? Now, on the flip side of that coin, not this year, but last year, over at Thunderbeast, I shot an M99 .50 cal.

Suppressed.

with their 50 cal suppressor now I have an M99 myself absolutely love that gun that is the most fun you can shoot I'm telling you right now it's a great great firearm but they put their suppressor on it and I shot that 50 cal without hearing protection and I was fine Now, there are those of you who think that as long as you're shooting subsonic ammunition that you should be fine, but if you have standard ammunition, it's going to break the sound barrier and it's going to hurt your hearing, blah, blah, blah.

Yes and no.

I shot a .50 cal.
