the leaves are circular from one to two feet in diameter and raised high above the water the fragrant flowers are pale yellow the seeds sunk deeply in a receptacle are as large as acorns our own beautiful white pond lily is well known and well beloved and few new englanders are unfamiliar with the serene ponds and still waters where the lily pods make a carpet on which rest the lovely heads of these delicious favorites.

At Sandwich in Barnstable, Massachusetts, and Kennebunk, Maine, are found lilies of a fine rose color.

The common cowlily, as it is called, though not a beauty like its relatives, is a pleasing variety, being of a rich yellow color.

Next we come to the wonderful pitcher plants, whose chosen homes are in the black mud of peat bogs and swamps.

The Barnstable Town Council voted 7-3 to end its contracts with flock safety.

Cape Cod Times reports several members cited privacy concerns over the cameras as well as misuse from officers on the force elsewhere in the state and country.

However, Barnstable PD argued in favor of keeping the cameras active, saying unlike the backlash seen in other communities, Barnstable can, quote, lead the way and set a new path.

There's four flock cameras in the town, all of which are now set to be shut down.

I was like, let me go through this certificate program and ultimately then I'll know if I want to go back to school and get my master's in public administration.

Went through the program down in Barnstable, met a lot of really great people that we got to know over the 25 weeks.

the professors were excellent uh most of them you know were either working for a community or had been a town administrator and i had a lot of fun i think it was a really good way to you know obviously i'm still working full-time still have my job responsibilities here but on those fridays i was kind of able to kind of step outside of those responsibilities and learn And even being a manager for over 20 years, I learned a lot of things.

I was in the class with a lot of people from the Cape communities, further down Cape, and not everybody does things the same way.
