Bark Psychosis

Are we at my number four? Yes, we are.

Well, my number four is the gorgeous cinematic song cycle from 1994 called Hex by the London band Bark Psychosis.

Don't know it.

Critics fawned and continue to fawn over this album.

It was all about Britpop and, you know, there was a lot of attention being paid to records like Blur's Parklife, Oasis' Definitely Maybe, Suede's Dogman Star, Pulp His and Hers, etc.

And that led to a lot of great music getting lost in the shuffle because, I mean, I will tell you, you can't have a Knees Up.

proper to hex by bark psychosis but i think it's one of those records that is going to continue to be elevated in esteem and find new audiences but they're estimating that sales for this album over the course of 30 years or about 40 000 albums which is no slouch but i mean it's certainly not setting the world on fire so yeah i'm going number four hex by bark psychosis wow

After that, it's going to go up to 40,001.

Also because they've got their own careers.

You know, Rustin Mann and O-Rang and the groups that they were sort of playing in and Bark Psychosis, you know, etc.

um and Hollis was also absolutely reluctant to really articulate and discuss stuff and what's interesting in in this book is that uh although Thompson interviews some sort of lower echelon players on the records and you know sort of people who are prepared to talk about their their work you know Mark Felton who played the harmonica gets you know interviewing you know various sundry guitarists who played a few notes on you know buried in the background and So on and so forth.
