But what about a meal where the food is firmer? Because Petroski has a second example set at a Texas BBQ restaurant.

Yes.

So in this scenario, he's eating a thick slab of beef brisket.

When I go to a nice restaurant and order a ribeye, the waiter immediately swoops in, takes away my highly evolved, perfectly safe silver table knife, and hands me a terrifying, sharply pointed, aggressively serrated, wooden handled weapon.

A literal dagger.

It feels like we are completely devolving, instantly regressing back to the Saxon scramasax or the Texas BBQ butcher knife.

That is a brilliant observation, and it actually reinforces the form follows failure rule better than almost anything else.

And like, that was such a fun trip and great food as well.

We got to really have some, uh, Tex, oh, that's a little baby brisket, but we got to have some like Texas barbecue and that was really amazing.

Um, yeah, like.

It was such a cool endeavor to start this.
