Barbara Strozzi

They're all standing there as we make this 110th episode today.

Sammy, your track today, you've chosen some Barbara Strozzi by a group that I think we featured only once before, but possibly not an episode you're involved.

Tell us about them.

I wasn't sure if they'd come up before, but this is a track by Capella Mediterranea, who are run by the Argentine-Swiss conductor, composer, harpsichord player Leonardo Garcia Alarcón.

Thank you.

That was Silenzio Nocivo by Barbara Strozzi and performed by Cappella Mediterranea with Leonardo García Alarcón.

It's nice that we're at the stage now where there's lots of Barbara Strozzi to listen to and one can really get a sense of the whole range of what she does and what she did.
