been so much money when you find out that the seed is a dollar per seed for Banksia then you realise that's just the start no wonder that's the wholesale price is a dollar a seed no wonder it's going to be so expensive to buy one

exactly Yes, banksias are amazing.

Hakeas are amazing in that mid-range.

That is looking straight down the barrel of extinction because you don't have the genetic diversity for breeding.

So one macadamia nut is equivalent to the same protein that's in 35 Banksia seeds, which We've cleared nearly all of our Banksia woodlands and it takes five years for a Banksia to flower unless you've got the dwarf ones and they flower in three years.

So this is a stop guard.

But millions of years ago when there were lots of vegetation in Australia and lots of carnibies, macadamias were throughout the top end of Australia and down sort of down the east coast and down the west coast.

So if you put your macadamias in, watch the video, I show you how to do it, they actually do really well.

A reasonable, you know, advanced form of a Banksia, like Banksia, the old man Banksia, Banksia integrifolia or the coastal Banksia, they get a bit of height and they don't mind a bit of shade.

They'll give you a bit of height in those sort of soil conditions and in the aspect where it's a little bit shady.

You know, the crape myrtles, they need sunshine.

In March, we talk about the orchids, keep coming back to the orchids, but in March you start having the bunny orchids, the hare orchids, and of course lots more things on the other end of the scale.
