Bangladeshi Americans

So a few years ago, I had Race Booyan guest on my show to help mark a 9-11 anniversary.

Race is a Bangladeshi American.

He was actually a former officer in the Bangladesh Air Force.

And he grew up watching all of these like cowboy TV shows and just fell in love with America because of them.

Rashidon isn't technically an owner of the

house, which is convenient because he recently pled guilty to wire fraud after scamming fellow Bangladeshi Americans out of more than $1 million.

Prosecutors say he took advantage of the community ties and that the most colorful home may have been one of the things the stolen money paid for.

So we saw his wife waving like, it's for sale.

So some men did try to begin an unofficial rally, but they were arrested.

so i know i went through 2013 2016 to tell you like a bunch of stuff that root barn is done so let's jump back quickly to february 26 2015 and i want to tell you about a different person altogether now i'm going to start this with a trigger warning there's going to be graphic detail of murder but it's going to be very short and i'm going to move past it very quickly So, Bangladeshi-American secular blogger and author Avjit Roy was hacked to death with machetes by assailants while returning from a book fair in Dhaka with his wife, who was also severely injured.

Now, Avjit Roy was known for creating Mukto Mona, an internet blogging community for Bangladeshi freethinkers, rationalists, sceptics, atheists and humanists.

It's said that the Islamic militant organisation Ansarullah Bangla Team claimed responsibility for the attack, calling him a blasphemer.
