As shared by the BBC, SuperTed was the first animated British show to be acquired by Disney.

If you're listening from the UK and grew up reading Beano or Dandy, you are probably familiar with the character of Banana Man, the story of an ordinary schoolboy who turns into a powerful superhero when he eats a banana.

This show too made its way to the US, airing on Nickelodeon after episodes of Danger Mouse.

Banana Man and SuperTed had eventually crossed the pond, reaching American TV.
