Very hard to, very hard for somebody to kind of break into it.

Um, so I, uh, One day I answered an ad in BAM Magazine, Bay Area Music Magazine.

There was a tiny little article in the back in the classifieds saying that the Eric Martin band was looking for a guitar roadie.

Whoa.

... which was a music magazine.

Every label had turned us down and we just wanted to make this record as like sort of a Polaroid snapshot just because, you know, I thought the band was breaking up.

We'd already done all these, all these, you know, showcases in LA and, and about six months before we had been on the cover of what this, this magazine in California used to have called BAM magazine.

I don't know if you, you know, you know, to get on the East coast, but, For California, it was like the California Rolling Stone.

And it was free.
