For a player who piled up winds almost as soon as she arrived, the drought felt foreign.

Yin captured five titles in an 18-month span after bursting onto the LPGA scene, highlighted by her triumph at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship at Baltusrol.

Baltusrol, B-A-L-T-U-S-R-O-L. Baltus role.

But after winning the 2024 Maybank Championship, the victories suddenly stopped coming.

The 23-year-old arrived in Boston, still searching for her first win since then, despite continuing to contend.

Yeah, we saw Rory name specifically Olympic Club and Baltusrol this week as two potential venues.

Sweet.

And I, I, I think that there are, uh, you know, I, I don't wanna say this in a way that feels disrespectful to any of these clubs, but, like, we know the, the tier of clubs that exists in American golf that are just, it's highly unlikely that they're gonna want to host an event like this given their memberships, desires, and, and their lack of, of need for exposure.

Yeah, but, but I, I, I guess-

They'd have to work hand-in-hand there.

Well, I, I guess my point being that w- that they're, they're, they're smart to wait because what they can do is see what it's like at an Olympic Club or at a Baltusrol, if we're gonna use Rory's example.

And, and if it does look like something they could do and was achievable, then okay, let's have the conversation.

So, you know, the one they kind of floated out there as their wish list, the, the Cypress Points, the, the Seminoles, I can't really see it happening there.

But if you look at, you know, Rory today mentioned Olympic Club in San Francisco or Baltusrol in New Jersey.

You know, I think that's one of the reasons why this new format is so appealing is because these, these great private clubs, unless it's a major championship, they don't wanna have 120 players at their golf course with 30,000 fans every day.

It's just not something that's attractive to the members.

Do you remember that outing we played in at Baltusrol and they had the silent auction, and they were legit silent auctions? It was like a round for you and three buddies at Somerset.
