if you played golf in ireland you know how difficult this is for the rest of your life you can play one you can play only one only golf in one of these areas unlimited budget any course any time which ones are you picking so ireland was basically split into four but not done into like north south east west kind of like north midlands west midlands or east midlands very fairly yeah i thought that was very good so i'm going to list out for you here michael a b c or d what's in them and you can only play one of these regions of golf for the rest of your life okay so a is the east and central so it's port marnock county loud the island k club royal dublin jameson drew's glenn clean castle mount juliet ross lair british bay bunclody carlo kirklow littlestown carton house paris court hermitage tullamore palmer's town heritage the castle rasala grange arclo to faris sea point synonyms mccrudden delirium i'm not going to list out the full list for all of them because they're the big hitters b then which is the south and central Ballybunion, Waterville, Adair Manor, Tralee, Dukes, Old Head, Fowler Island, Cork, Drumoland, Killarney, County of Bale.

C, then L'Hinch, Cairn, County Sligo, Enniscrone, Doonbeg, Connemara, Strand Hill, Gough, the Hawthorn, keep an eye out for that one, Westport, Galway, Port Humna, or D, Port Rush, Orcid, Rosapenna, Port Stewart, Bailiffin, Port Salon, Sleave Russell, Nairnport, New, Donegal, Critch, Arglas.

Now, remember, there's a bunch of the smaller ones there.

Welcome now to the Rough Cut Golf Podcast, where you join us on two lovely couches on the west coast of Ireland.

Just beyond my left shoulder lies Ballybunion, which we will be experiencing for ourselves very shortly.

But before we do that, before we embark on what promises to be an amazing round of golf, we thought we'd sit down with our good friend from across the pond, Sean Walsh.

And you can actually see his house on a clear day from where we are.

Tralee, then Lahinch.

Mm-hmm.

And then Ballybunion, and then Dromoland.

Dromoland.

Went back and listened to it.

I was, uh, I- I put forth some inaccurate information about Ballybunion, and, and the way I delivered it was, it wasn't meant to be malicious, but I think, uh, it came off as such.

And, and totally own that.

I talked to both John Banbury, the, the superintendent at Ballybunion, and John Eggleston, the, uh, the, uh, GM.

Both of whom are extremely well-regarded in the industry.

And, uh, I think, you know, just coming from a place of, A, I appreciate them being so gracious with me.

Yeah, didn't expect to kinda ruffle feathers with that.

And, and yeah, totally, totally on me.

But they, w- what we did quite well was we kept it quite light and, you know, there was lots of, like, different activities we did to keep sort of energy levels high.

But we, we played at Ballybunion Saturday, Sunday, which was, which was great.

That's just sort of...

We used that as, you know, getting guys back into the swing of links golf.

That was-

... still kind of just packing it up, like?

Yeah, that was in, uh, all of our hotel rooms when we got to Ballybunion on the Friday, and it took me a solid two hours to sort it all out.

You know, like unpackage it all, try it on, change all my clubs from my one bag to my other bag, and pack the big tall bag.

So anyway, that's in Cork, as you'd be surprised to know.

Once Malone, Woodbrook, Ballybunion.
