think Nick and I are speaking the same language because we did it many times in different versions inside the same company so I did it with Ballet West a few times and then some act two excerpts um with Kansas City Ballet

okay so you know this one yeah all right um The story of Giselle, Nick, Kate, both of you.

Nick, tell us the story.

I'm familiar with all of them.

I've been to Ballet West probably the most growing up, just going to the Nutcracker.

That's obviously always a classic.

Oh, yeah.

Yeah, I love to watch dance.

And I've just known, like, there's a lot of dancers that also teach spin class that I've run across through my years in Salt Lake City.

So, but Ballet West is obviously like the more classical ballet, somewhere around like 40 dancers, I think.

And then RDT, which stands for, is it repertory

do it.

And it was Ballet West, Adam Skloot, that said, well, let's commission a score.

That's really expensive.

So if a company goes, let's invest in a commission score.

It was like such a full circle moment.

Like the first one to be here, to be in collaboration with Ballet West and their beautiful dancers.

Despite a little bit of rain, no one is missing the meat roasting over the open fire under the supervision of the farm's culinary director, Chef Tiffin.

He moved to Utah after teaching the family at the prestigious Ballymalu Cookery School in Ireland.

These same handful of families support the same 20 or so prominent nonprofit organizations.

The Shakespeare Festival, Salt Lake Acting Company, Pioneer Theater, Spy Hop, Ballet West, Ryrie Woodbury.

I've met with most of these either directors or the people that would be involved with the MESA.

And they all love the idea of creating this extra dimension to Utah's creative landscape, a place, a physical place where people, where they could send their people down to workshop things and to interact with other creative people from Utah towards this new dimension.
