Baldwin Park, they found a councilman.

His name is Ricardo Pacheco.

And they found he had $62,000 in cash buried in his backyard.

He'd take the money in exchange for getting marijuana licenses approved.

So the marijuana businessman would pay him money and their permits would be fast-tracked.

According to court filings, there was a network of city officials in Baldwin Park, consultants, and cannabis operators trading bribes for permits.

There's campaign cash, contracts, and it was multiple San Gabriel Valley communities.

That's where traffic on the 57 freeway got a little insane recently when dozens of live catfish were spotted trying to make their way across the southbound lanes.

The odd scene unfolded at 7.45 a.m. back on the 21st after CHP officers from the Baldwin Park area were called to investigate a large puddle of water and fish just north of Sunset Crossing Road.

When the officers got there, they found 31 catfish actively crossing the roadway with no vehicle or obvious source for the spill anywhere nearby.

The CHP's Baldwin Park office said on Facebook, officers quickly sprang into action, safely moving all 31 fish to the right shoulder.

Animal control crews later rescued and relocated 29 of the fish.

In a post titled Fish and Chips on their social media page, Baldwin Park CHP reported finding live catfish making their way across lanes on the southbound 57 in Pomona.

Officers arrived to find 31 catfish crossing the road.

They were able to move the flapping fish over to the right shoulder.

Aramaz Andresian Sr. and Ana Estevez married on August 25, 2007.

Five years later, on February 19, 2012, their son was born in Baldwin Park, California.

They named him Aramaz Andresian Jr., But throughout his life, the people who loved him called him Peaky.

The accusation triggered a joint investigation by police and the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services, and it won Armas Sr. a temporary protective order against his estranged wife while it was pending.

Turns out, though, there was no Omar and there was no TJ.

Baldwin Park Police Detective Carmen Chise, who investigated the claim, wrote in an October 2016 report that Ana told her that she believed Arama Sr. had invented the allegation as a plot to gain full custody of their son, and that if it were substantiated, she stood to lose her job as a school principal.

Officers visited Ana's home multiple times as a part of the investigation.
