I cannot imagine any game being on that level, but where does it fall if you have to explain the choice and consequence and the depth of that? Is that more like Mass Effect 2? Where does it fall?

Well, it's tough to say without the sequel, of course, but I would say it's like The Witcher, like The Witcher 3.

They're still contained, but also not.

There are ramifications into the greater world.

But it's not a spider web like in Wasteland 3 or Baldur's Gate 3.

That can't be done in a game like this, or at least not yet.

Yeah, definitely it feels like it compares unfavorably to Baldur's Gate 1, the game we played not too long ago, where going through that game the entire way through, it still felt like I was finding cool things to equip my party with.
