Bahir

So this was a big, huge shift in Jewish mysticism.

Yes, the word sphera was used in earlier literature in the Bahir, but it was never understood in the same way as spherot were understood in Zoharic literature.

Because we now no longer had angels, we now had angels.

So we no longer had a chesed, had a malach of chesed, an angel of kindness.

Yeah.

As evidenced by the Bahir.

So, so, so Bahir is actually a book that we're, w- we are going to be mentioning in a little bit.

I just realized the name Bahir means clear.

I put aside in this connection various texts and extracts or fragments of texts which are, as one may say, embedded in the Zohar, introduced for the most part at arbitrary points, where they have little or no relation to that which precedes and comes after.

It is to this that we owe the preservation of certain parts of a work entitled Sepher ha Bahir, or Book of Brightness.

Their authority has been disputed, but there seems good ground for believing, one, that if the Zohar proper is a work of the early Christian centuries, then these items are approximately of similar antiquity; or, two, if we suppose for a moment that the text major was invented at a late period, being at or about the end of the thirteenth century, whether by a certain Moses de Leon or another, then it seems probable, from the positions assigned to the extracts, that they were brought in from another source.

Speaking generally of all the additamenta, their introduction is so apart from design that they might have been attached by a transcriber where they suited his convenience, or when he happened to come across some of them.

It is like an unending and an eternal day of daylight.

And it is written in the Sefer HaBahir, which is an ancient book of Kabbalah, and the Rikanti, which is a book of Kabbalah from the medieval times.

In those two Sfarm, it's written, When Bnei Yisroel, when Klal Yisroel does the will of HaKadosh Baruch Hu, they cause blessing to come to the world.

And when this blessing spreads in the world, then the souls that need to be redeemed are revealed in the world.
