The Bahia Blanca group, LU3DXG, has organized a tribute award in his name from the 20th of October through till the 3rd of November.

In a press release, the club states that the event's purpose is to encourage stations throughout the Americas and Europe to remember, quote, "His career, his commitment to amateur radio, and the bonds he built with fellow radio amateurs from different countries," end quote.

Hams are still registering to participate, and there'll be special call signs used during the event.

On the 21st of September, the Argentinian newspaper El Tribuno published an interview with pilot Gaspar Guan, describing an encounter during a recent night flight.

Goan, who has around 14 years of flying experience and is also an amateur astronomer, was flying an executive aircraft from Buenos Aires to Bahia Blanca.

According to his account, he was passing near Tandil at approximately 10 past 10 in the evening, flying at around 8,000 feet, when three unusual lights appeared ahead of the aircraft.

He described the lights moving relative to one another, apparently disappearing, and then reappearing in roughly the same area of sky.
