And one of the key next conferences is Baden-Baden.

And typically from between Monte Carlo and Baden-Baden, Big headline subjects turn into feasible reality.

And that's what we expect for the next six weeks to happen.

Baden-Baden is a famous spa town in southwest Germany, and the German word for Baden actually translates into bathing or baths.

So Baden-Baden translates into baths baths.

Because it's a spa town, Baden-Baden is typically very relaxed, pretty low-key, some describe it as quite sleepy, until a fateful summer in 2006.

Germany was hosting the World Cup, and for one of the first times, the England squad were allowed to have their wives, girlfriends, and families accompany them for the tournament.

England had set up shop, their training grounds and accommodation, in this unlikely German town of Baden-Baden.

In June 2006, the footballers and their teams, the press, the paparazzi, and the wives and girlfriends all descended onto Baden-Baden.

And what drew the most attention of the British tabloid press wasn't the footballers' performance or even the international football competition taking place, but the daily antics of the wives and girlfriends of the players.

I'm very excited to see it indeed.

Every time I speak with you, Laurent, and every time I hear you speak, actually, because of course you preside over the Baden-Baden opening that we look forward to next month, you always make me think a little bit differently about the market.

So I know I'm putting you on the spot a bit here.

I didn't give you any warning, but could you help us maybe think a little bit more strategically about what's happening in the market at the moment? Because people are observing lots of things, they're seeing lots of things happening, but how do you draw them together when you try and make sense of it overall? Yeah.

He's playing a concert, uh, at The New School.

Um, it's being produced by, uh, friends that we met in Baden-Baden when I was playing the piano there.

And he'll be performing, uh, in his trio with Roger Kellaway, uh, the great jazz pianist, Roger Kellaway, who's in his 80s, and Terry Clarke, a Canadian drummer who was with Boss Brass.

And these guys played together 40 years ago, and they're being reunited for this trio concert in New York, so it's, that's very exciting.

I'm just thinking, would that be bad for his performance if he's shagged out? Like, you know how f- football managers ban their-

Well, this is pre-Baden-Baden.

Yeah, yeah.

Yeah, I was gonna say this is pre-Baden-Baden, right? We don't-

[laughs] Yes

... you know, we, we don't know yet.

So I have to say, that's one of my favorites.

And then of course there's Baden-Baden, which any word that has bad in it, B-A-D, means spa town, means old Roman, like Wiesbaden, Baden-Baden, Bad Homburg, any town in Germany that has the B-A-D in it.

And Baden-Baden has a racetrack in Baden-Baden, Iffezheim, it's like a little town outside of Baden-Baden, like a suburb, and there's a racetrack and I used to hang out there all the time.

So Gaudí, you know, Gaudí's work in Barcelona.

I mean, I, it's so hard to pick just one, but of all the ones that I've been to and all the ones that I love, Newgrange, honestly, and the Brú na Bóinne, which is, it's part of the Brú na Bóinne, is probably, if I had to pick one, my favorite.
