Baclofen

There's a lot going on in this brain.

I also took slightly expired muscle relaxer, Baclofen.

So I slept like a baby and I woke up completely.

I mean, is that enough? Like it's, you know, it's not like taking narcotics or anything, but, but I slept like a baby and I did that two nights.

Really? Yeah.

He was like, yeah, we're not going to give you anything for the, like we're worried you're going to cheat medications now or something.

So we're not giving you anything.

So I still didn't sleep for like a couple of days after that.

We mostly just use things that relax the muscles like benzodiazepines, like Valium or Ativan.

Baclofen is another medicine.

So there are some autoimmune... what do you call it, immune components like IVIG that they can give for it.

But this is a chronic illness.

Watch for hepatotoxicity.

Baclofen, there's no formal recommendations for dosing adjustments with hepatic impairment because there's limited hepatic metabolism, but there are some case reports of acute hepatitis, and clinical trials overall suggest it's safe in alcoholic liver disease, including advanced liver disease.

And except for disulfiram, all MAUD agents can be used in liver transplant recipients with the caveats discussed earlier.

So once you had a liver transplant and restored liver function, any of the agents except disulfiram could be used.

Now they think it probably isn't spasms.

You know, they use a smooth muscle relaxer like Baclofen or a milder one like I just mentioned is Levson.

I guess I would have to say...

I'd probably use castor oil packs, you know.
