That was a fun limited series, which I don't think should qualify as the same as a Gilmore Girls that had like six seasons or whatever.

I am watching a TV show that is so good I want to shout it from the rooftops.

I think it was last year or the year before there was a breakout show, which I don't think you finished, called Baby Reindeer.

created, written, directed, and acted by Richard Gad based on something that happened in his own life.

The idea with the parents, you know, we had James Norton and Jessica Gunning.

Jessica Gunning obviously won every award for Baby Reindeer and sort of like got all of those.

And I think I wanted to cast quite young parents that were fun and naughty.

I loved Easy A and I love Stanley Tucci in that.

But, uh, the biggest stars on television just starting to arrive here ahead of the ceremony, which gets underway in just over two hours' time.

The Television Academy hands out awards for comedy, drama, reality series, and late-night television.

And in the drama category, the series to beat this year is The Pit, the incredibly realistic hospital drama now airing in the UK that's garnered no fewer than twenty-five Emmy nominations.

That's including thirteen for members of its cast.

There's a much tighter race in the comedy category, however, where the Emmy stalwart Hacks, which is now in its final season, is facing tough competition from a quirky upstart in the form of a, a very enthralling comedy horror series called Widows Bay, which stars Matthew Rhys as the s- the, uh, mayor of a small town that appears to be haunted.

And Matthew Rhys is also nominated for his role in the Netflix miniseries The Beast in Me.

Sir Gary Oldman's nominated for the third year in a row for his role in the spy thriller Slow Horses, but he faces an uphill battle in that best actor category from none other than the star of The Pit, Noah Wile- Wiley.

Now, there are expected to be emotional tributes paid to Dolly Parton, of course, who died three weeks ago.

It was Jon Hamm in Fargo, and no, I also didn't know he was in Fargo.

But Richard Gadd won for Baby Reindeer.

Again, not a cop, not a reindeer, and they played him off with a theme to Hill Street Blues in case anyone remembered the cop archetype thing that they were trying to press on us.

Gadd, winner of three awards, said at one point, TV's
