B2 First

A real proficiency certificate.

Cambridge B2 First, Cambridge C1 Advanced, IELTS, TOEFL, or whichever fits your purpose.

The reason I keep pushing for Cambridge is specifically that Cambridge tests your production properly and it doesn't expire.

And the exam does something you cannot do for yourself, which is to judge your own output from the outside.

And my first one is a bizarre situation.

Now, the reason I choose these words is not just because, well, in scary situations they might be used, but for your own English, for you when you are discussing some situation in your oral exam, your B2 oral exam, Cambridge B2 maybe, or perhaps you're writing a story, which is another thing you can do at the B2 level in the Cambridge First certificate exam.

And this is language that you can use, of course.

The first one is just bizarre situation.
