Today on The Quarter Hour, we remember one of the greatest radio battles of all time, the Battle for Brisbane, when B105 took on Triple M and won.

And we've got the exclusive audio to prove it.

Hi, I'm Liam Renton, and today on The Quarter Hour, we are taking a trip back in time to the early 90s when radio battles were fierce, creativity was flowing out the speakers, promos were epic, giveaways were hourly, and when nighttime radio was king and had a following all of its own.

It was 1994, and B105 was only a couple of years old.

It had market domination over the once iconic FM-104, who'd rebadged to Triple M.

Now, there was a battle at night between two legendary shows, Steve and Jess versus Gavin Miller.

So let's remember the choices we had.

And speaking of Brisbane, let's have a look at the overall station numbers for Brisbane.

And when we go into those details, we can see that B105 is on a 12% share.

No change there.

It's at number one.

Yeah, well, I guess they've had an up and down year.

They started the year down and then had a big recovery and they've gone down again.

B105, yep, continues to be a strong story.

But probably out of those there, KISS is the one that really jumps out.
