He's got all the gadgets.

And, Batman, you get a voice memo.

You get a voice, like a call as you're waiting for Azrael to leave of like, Hey, sweetie? Yes? What's the policy on cops right now? Because my claws are itching.

It depends on the cop.

It's the big guy.

Well, nothing to do with me.

Batman, what are you saying? What's the conversation with Azrael?

I mean, first of all, I have to convince him that I'm not going to shoot

And then he's a great villain in the background for that whole thing.

And then, what's his name? Azeroth? Azrael.

Azrael.

Azrael.

A guy I thought I hated.

A guy who's like atrocious vibes, I think.

And then Batman has got kind of, he's mentoring another sidekick besides Robin.

And that sidekick is called Azrael.

And he's a little unhinged.

And at some point in this storyline, Batman gets his back broken by Bane.

And Azrael takes over as Batman.

But then he's just he's a lot meaner than Batman.

He's starting to kill some of these people and he's starting to add on to his suit.

Nasty Gnorc.

Azrael was the cat.

That's an angel.

It's also the guy that replaced Batman for a little while.

And so that was a little tough to parse out when I was a kid.

Do you not remember when Azrael took over after Bane broke Batman's back?

I've never genuinely seen the Smurfs.

And this is the non-battle damaged version, Arkham City style, right? I'm pretty sure.

Then we've got an Azrael, um, which this is definitely, um, an Arkham style Azrael.

I don't know if this is Arkham City one or not, but he's, he was definitely in a few of the games.

I don't remember which game.

For whatever reason, I don't know what it is.

I think it's because, you know, Jean-Paul Vallee just irritates me.

That's exactly it, yes.

I'm assuming, yeah.

They've been doing a lot more of those R-rated animated movies, which I'm kind of a mixed bag on.

Well, I think you'll see, especially when we talk about this issue, you can't show Jean-Paul Vallee as Batman and not be overly violent, because it is.

He's overly violent.

But listen, I mean, the Part 2 teaser has everything you'd wanna see.

And then of course, I, they didn't need to show the full Azrael costume at the end, I guess, but it's kinda cool they did.

We know what he looks like, so it was kinda cool to see that.

Uh, and, and, and the sequel fight.

It'll be interesting.

Well, that's why I can't wait for the final showdown too, like where Azrael def- Azrael defeats Bane, right? W- with the tactics and the suit and like, yeah, I mean-

That's, yeah

And so when it opens up and you see the silhouette, you think it's Batman.

Oh, no, it's Azrael.

Okay, cool.

And then you see him immediately cut a guy's arms off.

Like just a straight up mind control dude whose dad was part of the secret order, order of Saint Dumas.

Like this secret, almost crusader-like cult of religionists who think that they're the ones who have to purify the earth and whatnot.

And yeah, they modified and bred Jean-Paul Vallée to be this Azrael, to be this crusader.

to go out and to kill people.
