Azerbaijanis

They're Turkic people.

My dad's from Iran, but he's Azeri, so he's a Turkic minority there, too.

And so this like cumin lamb basically that I was eating in Beijing as a teenager tasted so familiar to me.

And the reason it tasted so familiar to me was because of the cumin that was being used there.

He was an SS Standartenführer.

He was born in Brandenburg, and During World War II, he commanded the Eastern Muslim Division, division, which was this sort of cosmopolitan pastiche of Kazakhs, Turkmen, Azeris, You name it.

But al-Rashid, during the First World War, he served on the general staff of the Ottoman Empire with Enver Pasha, who was one of the young Turks, for those who know the history.

And during his time there, Two things happened.

And the resulting formation ultimately, Hanjar was the first and it was also Skanderberg which was Albanian Muslims and Kama.

But the true pan-Islamic division size element was the East Turkic SS Corps.

And again, it was Turkmen, it was Kazakhs, it was Azeris, it was all the nationalities of the Soviet Union who were of the Muslim faith were represented.

What kind of time we got? Okay.

I think we could have a situation in which the train systems work, but the border itself is not open for land traffic.

Because that would be what the Azeris get out of the process in being able to pressure Turkey.

The only reason that the TRIP project is likely to work is because it involves other countries.

If it was Armenia alone, Azerbaijan would give absolutely nothing on any front.

So at some point, you have to think that the issues that they have with us are not really political but existential in nature.

But I think it's much more practical than that.

The Azeris have veto power.

And I think until there's regime change in either of those two countries, which isn't likely in the short run, I don't expect any situation where we'll have full normalization.

Give us the arms.

You know, for all the holding back of arms to the Ukrainians, we've 100 percent held back the arms, as far as we know, you know, to Kurds, Azaris, Loops, Turks, Persians, who were the majority, I believe, who want in opposition, who who have been planning and waiting for the help.

And again, they're willing to go in the streets, but they don't want to go into the streets to be slaughtered.

And if anything, that makes the Iranian regime even more powerful.
