Axel Boman

And, uh, just let these, let these last tunes ride out.

This tune is by Axel Boman, and it's called [laughs] it's called Oh Baby.

And then we're gonna finish it off with a few tracks from The Mole.

Check out the album by The Mole, The River Widens.

[outro jingle][outro jingle]

[outro jingle]From the excellent album Tell It to the Mountain by Axel Boman and Superpitcher on Blue Ruin Records, which is a sort of sub-label of Studio Barnhus.

This is Birdwatchers, and, uh, Axel Boman, he's one of the founders of Studio Barnhus, and he sh- really should get more props.

He did that excellent Talibah- Talibaman album with, uh, John Talabot a wee while back, and now he's with Superpitcher, and he's got exceptional taste, and, uh, it's a lovely record, this, so I strongly suggest you check it.

Tell It to the Mountain, Axel Boman and Superpitcher, out now on Blue Ruin.

But more from that in just a second.

Ah, we started this set off with Shit and Shine, the mighty Shit and Shine coming out of Texas.

That track was Ren.

[electronic music] These last two from the brand new Compact album.

Two of my favorite producers, Superpitcher and Axel Boman, on this brand new one, Hell Lags.

[electronic music]

Future Disco.

Going a bit deeper now.

There's a bit of Axel Boman.

[upbeat music]

I'm in the game, flipping it.

I have a truly blissful and joyful electronic album for us this week.

It's called Tell It to the Mountain, and it's by Axel Boman and Superpitcher.

Axel Boman is a Swedish producer.

He co-runs a super influential label called Studio Barnhus, and Superpitcher is a German DJ and producer.

He's been in the game a long time as well, and together they've crafted something, um, really beautiful.

It's majestic.

It's beautiful.

Once again, that's Tell It to the Mountain by Axel Boman and Superpitcher.

And playing in the background right now, we have Sub Terraneo, extended version by Quantic.

There's an Axel Boman remix, but I'm feeling this original.

You can find that one on Play It Again, Sam.

And this is The Brutal and the Beautiful every Monday from 12 to 2 p.m. on CJSW 90.9 FM, broadcasting from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, at the University of Calgary campus radio station on Treaty 7 land.
