They're going to load up Secret Wars, and then there's not going to be another Marvel movie that tops that until they do Avengers vs. X-Men.

Either that or Justice League Avengers, then Hellfreeze is over.

Yeah, I'll say that.

think it's a fun, a fun play on, uh, on, on, you know, resentment and comic books.

It looks kind of like Avengers versus X-Men, but it's dopey versus fish.

You gotta get Trey on.

I think he would love to come on the show.

While Shang-Chi is definitely returning for Doomsday and the Eternals definitely ain't, why does it seem like this mystery is likely to have a bigger impact than this mystery? Welcome back to New Rockstars, I'm Eric Boss, and this is another episode of The Road to Doomsday, New Rockstars' weekly discussion podcast that looks back at the Marvel titles that paved the way for Avengers Doomsday.

In this episode, we're talking about two Marvel Studios movies that came out within just two months of each other in fall 2021, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, and Eternals, directed by Chloe Zhao.

A tale of two movies that both tried to advance the cinematic universe, one that opened doors to its future, another that marked a retreat.

That's the origin of the name.

are moments in a lot of these movies, some great movies, that I'm just like, why is that the way you, like Captain Marvel when Nick Fury lost his eye? And then naming the Avengers.

Whatever.

But...

A regular Avengers film I would say we need first.

Because you can't have an Avengers X-Men Eternals film without having an established Avengers team.

And maybe Doomsday and Secret Wars will do that to where we don't have to have a solo Avengers film first before getting AXE.

But I still think just based on this new universe, if they're going to recast Captain America, Iron Man, like they said they were going to eventually, then you probably need to have a solo Avengers film first before having the AXE one.

You know why? Merchandise.

I guarantee the next culminating movie will be, or if they do a 1-2 again, it's going to be Avengers vs. X-Men for the first one.

Yeah, definitely.

They're going to do that.

Yeah, yeah.

Which means I might as well stick around until the possible Avengers versus X-Men movie.

That's probably, what, 2033, 2034, something like that.

But then that kicks off a whole new phase of the MCU, so that could take anything from two to three to four more years on top of that.

I don't anymore because I own Blood Rage and that's the one I've got from that series I've got Dice Masters, which I lumped into one.

I mean, you could have been like Avengers vs. X-Men and Kenny X-Men and DC Justice

League.

I'm glad you said that then because obviously when we were looking at doing this list, especially me and Lisa were talking about it, with Eric Lang, there were so many different standalone games versions of that game released yeah two player packs or whatever

I've been following Tom Brevoort since his form spring, and he was so catty with X readers back in the day, especially during Avengers vs. X-Men.
