Australian Football League draft

You make sure you've got yours ready.

And then we're going to go through the round one draft order for the 2026 AFL draft.

Okay.

Amongst a host of other conversation, probably have them as sidebars all the way through.

So it'll be a 23 pick first round is what we're saying.

Yep.

All right, so that's what's going to happen a little bit later on through November for the AFL draft.

So it's been a busy 10 days or so, Rammer.

Well, Roey, it's not far away now.

The 2026 Telstra AFL Draft Combines have been run and done, as they say [chuckles] and, uh, we've got a lot of names from South Australia who might be an opportunity of being drafted.

Now, there was an AFL Combine and a sample AFL Draft Combine, and to get a, uh, bit of an insight, who better to s- uh, speak to than a man who's looked after our state under 18s as coach.

He's done a marvelous job there.

Uh, it's also our academy kids coming through.

So, uh, he's learnt that, he's learnt that trait really early and that's why he's so appealing as a key back.

Not wrong there.

Uh, I was looking down at the Sandfield AFL draft combine and, um, just a little, uh, curious, uh, I saw a couple of names, Jack Lees and Jack Nelson.

...

he was the s- uh, th- he was the third overall pick in the NFL Draft and the second overall pick in the AFL Draft in the same year, so-

Mm

... absolute beast.

We'll be back with more in the second hour.

Time to talk AFL Draft with ESPN Draft Guru Jasper Chalupa.

He joins us on the show now.

Jasper, welcome.
