Austin Forkner

It is a tragedy that due to his accent, a lot of people didn't even realize how interesting the things he was saying actually were.

How good was Dylan Ferrandis? 2019, 2020, he battled Adam Cianciarulo, and then Austin Forkner for Supercross titles.

And we all know that peak Cianciarulo and peak Forkner were very peak of 250 class, and he beat them both, and he beat them straight up.

I know that Cianciarulo threw it away at Vegas, but they had a lot of battles, and Dylan was able to win a lot of the individual races.

That's all.

I mean, I think it's tough because Cowie has been burned often by trying to cultivate and capture that hot, young stud amateur, right? Like they had Austin Forkner, and the guy that he raced against his entire life ends up being the better pro, Chase Sexton, right? They were on the winning side of it with Villopoto and Alessi.

Alessi was the number one.

Villopoto was number two.

Yep.

Timmy Badour were the first two to hit it, and then Forkner started hitting it and everything like that.

But that track was sick.

Oh, yeah.

We've talked to riders in the past about this.

A guy like Austin Forkner was just like, man, it's so tough because every single time you're on the track, You get a bad start, you're trying to climb through, you put yourself in harm's way trying to pass at all times.

So it's not an enviable position.

But for some of these guys, if you look at Pierce Brown and Anstey, some of these guys are fantastic starters.

Forkner thing, though, we both riffed about it.

And we came to the conclusion that, oh, yeah, his results at the End Outdoors last year were really good.

Like 2025 End of Outdoors, Forkner was... solid things should have been way better indoors because of how things went outdoors and i kind of said i just don't see it i don't see him doing near what he did at the end of outdoors last year and he was 36 at the opener 22nd at round two and then retired so
